How It Affected The Civil Rights Movement
The Impact of Little Rock Nine on Civil rights is actually one of the biggest impacts of the Civil Rights Movement. The Little Rock Nine challenged the community to allow African American students into schools. The Brown v. Board of Education case really helps the Civil Rights Movement start going by allowing schools to desegregate. The Little Rock Nine attended Little Rock Central High school later that month after the first day because the school board warned the students that it would be a danger to go on the first. On the Little Rock Nine's first day, they still got rocks thrown at them and threats were made. The students being harassed on their first day sparked anger in the black community. This led to protests and the overall start of the Civil Rights movement.
